Data Availability
The code used to run the analysis will be made available at https://osf.io/nxusz. Genetic data for the Millennium Cohort Study, British Cohort Study, National Child Development Study, and National Survey of Health and Development are available via application from the respective data owners. Summary statistics from the GWAS of adulthood BMI and adulthood fat mass were downloaded from the Neale Lab website (http://www.nealelab.is/uk-biobank; UKB data-fields 23104 and 23099). Summary statistics from the GWAS of (recalled) childhood BMI were downloaded from the PGS Catalog (https://www.pgscatalog.org/score/PGS000716).
