Data Availability
Data on COVID-19 at national and global level is made available in a seamless manner than any other disease. A number of key variables such as number of infection, deaths and recoveries were available for smallest geographic unit such as district to country level on daily basis. We have used data from the covid19india.org (https://www.covid19india.org/), worldmeter (https://www.worldometers.info/), the Sample Registration System (SRS) (ORGI, 2019) and the population projection of expert committee (MoHFW, 2019).
