Data Availability The clinical outcomes of our cohort were registered to the International Tourette Deep Brain Stimulation Database and Registry (https://tourettedeepbrainstimulationregistry.ese.ufhealth.org/). The personal data including the imaging data obtained from the study subjects will not be distributed openly to protect the patients' privacy. We used the population-averaged atlas of the macroscale human structural connectome derived from DWI (http://dsi-studio.labsolver.org/). For imaging analysis, we used free software inclusive of ANTs (http://stnava.github.io/ANTs/) (Avants et al., 2008), Lead-DBS (https://www.lead-dbs.org/) (Horn et al., 2019), PaCER algorithm (Husch et al., 2018), FieldTrip-SimBio (https://www.mrt.uni-jena.de/simbio/index.php/; http://fieldtriptoolbox.org), and DSI studio (http://dsi-studio.labsolver.org). The subject-independent 3D atlases of the thalamic nuclei are also openly available online (http://www.humanmotorthalamus.com/) (Ilinsky et al., 2018).
