Abusers indoors and coronavirus outside: an examination of public discourse about COVID-19 and family violence on Twitter using machine learning

Data Availability

This study followed Twitters Developers terms and policy (https://developer.twitter.com/en/developer-terms/policy) which has restrictions on redistributing Twitter content to third parties. We have fetched Twitter data between April 11 to July 16 2020 using a list of COVID-19 related hashtags as search terms and family-related terms as screen terms. We provided sufficient information about these hashtags in the paper. Other researchers can purchase a similar dataset during this period via Twitters service https://support.gnip.com/apis/historical_api2.0/
